KEY WEST inshore fishing

Sport fishing in the beautiful Keys of south Florida, you can expect to see and catch a myriad of fish. Captain Carter can take you inshore fishing, reef fishing, and wreck fishing. We use and can teach you several different techniques including bottom fishing, jigging, drift fishing, spinning, and popping. It takes a short amount of time to reach the waters you will be fishing from, unless your charter is to the Marquesas Keys which comes highly recommended. Typically you will be fishing no more than 12 miles off the coast and an average water depth of about 12 feet. Less travel means more time fishing and catching your favorite fish and you get to keep what you catch!

We started the morning catching some solid mutton snapper, then things got wild when we hooked into a couple of big lemon sharks. To top it all off, we ended the day with a beautiful tarpon that gave us an unforgettable battle. Just an epic way to finish the trip.

Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Highly recommend this guide if you’re looking to get on the fish and have a great time doing it. We’ll definitely be booking again next time we’re down here.

This was without a doubt the best charter I’ve ever had.  I told him what I wanted and he delivered.  My wife and I doubled up on tarpon. Mine broke off about 20 min in but an hour later my wife finally got hers to the boat. Best fishing experience to date

This is our first time visiting the keys so we had little expectations going into this experience. Justin was kind, helpful, and welcoming. He was able to put us over a lot of fish, educate us on the water ecosystems in the area, and manage the whole boat at the same time. We caught sharks and snapper! He was great to talk to and super helpful.  We caught  yellow tail, Goliath grooper, and a 7 foot shark.  We will definitely charter with Live action sport fishing again!!!
